More Lawsuits Filed Against Steve Wynn

The saga of Steve Wynn that began some months ago is getting its latest chapter or two. In February, the famous Las Vegas casino mogul officially resigned from his position of Wynn Resorts chairman. As of recent, another employee of Wynn Resorts is accusing him of sexual misconduct – and he is also being sued by the State of Oregon for breaches of fiduciary duty.

Last Tuesday, the accuser anonymously listed as Jane Doe, filed a suit against Wynn and the company for perpetuating his behavior. The accuser claims she has performed salon services like manicures and pedicures for Wynn since 2015 and is still employed by Wynn Resorts. In her lawsuit, she claims that he kept asking for salon services even after he stepped down from the position of CEO. He invited the accuser to his two-story villa at the resort which he will have to leave by June 1st.

She claims that he forced her into “performing acts of sexual nature” on him during these appointments. Some of these appointments happened even after the first allegations against him surfaced this January.

Another lawsuit against him was filed by the State of Oregon attorneys. The case was also filed last Tuesday in the Nevada district court. Oregon State Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum and Treasurer Tobias Read are suing Steve Wynn and the Wynn Resort's board of directors for the board’s inability to act against patter of sexual misconduct but also the breaches of fiduciary duty. Oregon's pension system owns 8506 shares of Wynn Resort with an estimated total value of $1.3 million. The accusers claim that Wynn's sexual misconduct and events that followed damaged the company's shareholders badly.

They demand “monetary damages for the tumbling Wynn Resort share price” after the scandal has become public, but also the resignation of those responsible for failing to act properly.
